The shampoo contains selenium disulfide, which grabs hold of dandruff and removes even the most stubborn dandruff. It can be used for irritations for oily and normal scalp where dandruff is present. Cohesyl acts like a cement that holds the skin cells together and thus prevents the formation of dandruff. Itching decreases after the first week of application, while after four weeks the cells are renewed and the scalp is healthy again.
